Read moreGet ready for an exciting day starting with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. At 8:00 a.m, our friendly driver will greet you and take you on a scenic 2-hour drive to Cai Be. Once there, at around 10:00 a.m, you will be warmly welcomed on board your sampan. Our attentive crew will offer you a refreshing towel as you embark on an unforgettable journey. Explore local home factories and witness the traditional process of making rice ice paste, coconut candies, and other delightful specialties. Cruise through the vibrant Cai Be floating market, surrounded by colorful barges brimming with fresh fruits and vegetables. We will then navigate upstream along the Tien Giang River, one of the Mekong’s major arms, revealing hidden landscapes and lush gardens. Marvel at the untouched beauty of the countryside and pass by charming brick factories, where you can even visit one if you wish. Our next destination is Sa Dec, known as the “Little Venice” with its intricate network of narrow canals and bustling trading activities. Disembark at the local market and embark on an enchanting exploration of this charming town. Step back in time as you stroll along its quaint streets, capturing the beauty of old houses and Chinese temples through your lens. Make a stop at the captivating 19th-century house of Ong Huynh Thuy Le, the former love interest of the renowned French novelist Marguerite Duras. Lunch will be served on board as we continue our cruise towards Can Tho, passing under traditional wooden “monkey bridges” and picturesque villages. Before sunset, we will visit the splendid Cao Dai Temple and conclude our day with a visit to an exquisite ancient house dating back to the early 19th century. Prepare to be amazed as the owner personally welcomes you to a romantic candlelit dinner in a truly unique setting. After indulging in this delightful feast, we will proceed to Can Tho for the final leg of our journey.
