Overview

Today, prepare yourself for a captivating day of exploration as we delve the wonders of Angkor Thom and Bayon Temple. As the last enduring capital of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom, built in the 12th century, will leave you in awe. Take a moment to marvel at the intricate statues adorning the South Gate, serving as a grand entrance to this magnificent site.

Next, let us transport you to Bayon Temple, renowned for its breathtaking architecture featuring 54 towering structures and impressive four-faced statues carved stone. Prepare to be transported to a wonderland as you wander further inside, where the delicate carved works in the East and South Galleries will simply take your breath away.

In the afternoon, we will embark on a delightful boat cruise along the vast Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. This scenic journey will also lead us to the charming villages of Kampong Phluck, often referred to as the “Harbor of the Tusks.” This unique village showcases different visuals throughout the seasons, appearing as a normal village with stilted wooden houses during the dry season, and seemingly floating when the water level rises.

Before we conclude the day, you will have ample time to unwind and enjoy some leisurely moments before returning to Siem Reap for a restful overnight stay.
