A stop along our route leads us to Vang Xang, an ancient archaeological site steeped in history dating back to the 11th century.
Our voyage culminates at the charming village of Vang Vieng in the afternoon, nestled serenely on the bend of the Nam Song River. The lush landscape, adorned with tranquil waters and limestone formations, retains its pristine allure amidst burgeoning tourism. Upon arrival, we traverse the Nam Song River to explore Tham Jang caves, followed by a delightful trek through scenic mountain terrain to uncover Tham None Cave and hill villages. The day crescendos with a spectacular sunset casting its glow over the Nam Song River — a sight to behold.
Nestle Vang Vieng for a restful evening. As night falls, amble through the town’s vibrant streets where bars resonate with episodes of Friends and Family Guy, stalls brim with fake Ray-Bans and tubing memorabilia, and local vendors tantalize taste buds with pancakes and burgers.
