Start your adventure by taking an afternoon flight to Buon Ma Thuot. there, embark on an exciting journey as you drive approximately 80 km to the peaceful rural village of Nam Ka. The final leg of the trip involves a picturesque 3 km walk to our accommodation for the night – a traditional long house-on-stilt in the charming Ede minority village of Rai.

Located in the heart of Dak Lak province, Buon Ma Thuot offers more than just its title as the largest Central Highland province. Explore its captivating natural attractions, including enchanting lakes, stunning waterfalls, and breathtaking national parks. Fun fact: Buon Ma Thuot was once a part of the Kingdom of Champa before being annexed by Vietnam in the 16th century. But wait, there's more – don't forget to indulge in the finest coffee that this remarkable destination has to offer!

Embark on an incredible full-day trek through the lush forest, immersing yourself in the natural beauty that leads to the magnificent Buon Triet Lake. This stunning lake, covering 15 square km, serves as a vital water source for the local coffee and black pepper plantations. The 18 km trek is graded as easy, and the temperatures remain pleasantly comfortable. As we reach our destination, we will be greeted by pedal boats, which will take us on a delightful ride across the serene lake, before indulging in an invigorating swim.

In the evening, we will have the privilege of staying in Jatu village, home to the warm and hospitable M’Nong minority. The M'Nong people reside in charming houses built either on stilts or level with the ground. Every village is comprised of numerous households, with the village chief playing a pivotal role in community life. You will have the opportunity to witness their unique customs, including their love for drinking alcohol jars with pipes and smoking tobacco threads rolled in leaves.

Interestingly, the M’Nong society follows a matriarchal system, where the children inherit their mother's family name. The wife holds a central position of power within the household, emphasizing the importance of women in their culture.

We will begin our journey by private transport to Jun village. Prepare yourself for a unique experience as we ride across Lak Lake by elephant to M’Lieng village. This mesmerizing lake spans a whopping 500ha and is located just 56km away Buon Ma Thuot City. Unlike many tourist hotspots, Lak Lake remains untouched by mass tourism, offering an authentic and tranquil atmosphere. As we make our way between Buon Ma Thuot City and Da Lat, keep your eyes peeled for stunning vistas. Upon arrival at M’Lieng village, we will take a leisurely stroll through the village to immerse ourselves in the rich and vibrant daily life of the ethnic minority communities of the Central Highlands. To return to Jun village, we will board a boat, gliding through serene waters.

This morning, there are some exciting things to do! Let's start by visiting the Ethnology Museum, where we can delve the daily lives of Vietnam's ethnic minorities. clothes to cultivated tools and musical instruments, there's so much to explore.

Next, we'll make our way to Khai Doan Pagoda, the last remaining pagoda the Nguyen Dynasty in the Central Highlands. The architecture here is a captivating blend of the Ede group's long house-on-stilts and the traditional houses found in Hue.

Afterward, we'll head to Buon Ma Thuot's vibrant regional market. It's the perfect opportunity to pick up some unique souvenirs before our afternoon drive to Kon Tum.

Once in Kon Tum, we'll settle our hotel. Though it's a charming and relaxed town with few sights of its own, what truly makes it special are the surrounding minority villages. Brace yourself for an immersive cultural experience as we visit the Sedang, Bahnar, Jarai, Gieh Trieng, and Rengao ethnic groups. Each village boasts a magnificent Rong, a grand communal house where special occasions bring the whole community together.

As the day progresses, indulge in a delightful rubber boat ride along the river to Kon Ko Tu village. Immerse yourself further in the magical allure of the Bana minority as you spend the evening in the enchanting Rong house. Brace yourself for an incredible experience filled with village meetings, celebrations, and public gatherings, all within the traditional confines of the Rong houses nestled in the hill tribe villages.

We'll start our journey by taking a private transport to Dakto hill, the site of a historic battle in the Vietnam - America war. Here, we'll have the chance to walk across a suspension bridge and visit some villages of the Se Dang minority. Afterward, we'll head back to Kon Tum, and then continue our adventure to Pleiku.

One of the highlights of our trip will be visiting Phun village, a traditional village of the Jarai ethnic group. Here, we'll explore the village's unique cemetery adorned with beautifully crafted wooden statues. Our next stop will be T'nung Lake, also known as Ia Nueng. Located in Bien Ho Commune, the lake is surrounded by breathtaking pine forests and mountains. With a width of 230 hectares (which expands to 400 hectares during the rainy season) and a depth of approximately 30 meters, T'nung Lake offers a stunning sight, especially in the tranquil morning when the sun casts its silver rays upon the water.

Finally, after our adventurous day, we'll check a comfortable hotel in Pleiku to relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch.

Embarking on a scenic journey, we drive to Quy Nhon today via Highway No.19. Along the way, we make a stopover at An Khe, where we'll visit the former bases that hold historical significance. These include the 1st Bn 7th CAV Base Camp, 3rd Bde "Garry Owen" Base Camp, Looking West 3rd Bde, The Barrier Line, 1/9 CAV Area, and Manyang passes. While enjoying the picturesque views, we'll have a delightful lunch. Our adventure continues as we proceed to Quy Nhon.

For the night, we'll be staying at a beautiful beach resort in Quy Nhon. It's the perfect spot to unwind, relax, and soak up the tranquil atmosphere.

Did you know that the First Team, after becoming the Army's first airmobile division, quickly found themselves back in combat during the Vietnam War? They arrived in Nha Trang via C-124s and C-130s between the 19th and 27th of August 1965. To establish a temporary base camp near An Khe, an advance party joined forces with advance liaison forces. This temporary base camp was just 36 miles inland the coastal city of Qui Nhon, where the rest of the 1st Cavalry Division eventually arrived on the 12th and 13th of September, coinciding with the division's 44th anniversary. By entering the war once again, the mounted soldiers proudly wore the famous and feared patch of the First Cavalry Division. Little did they know that this tour of duty would become the longest in combat history.

Good morning! Today, we have an exciting plan to kick-start your day. We'll embark on a private boat trip to the stunning Mun Island, renowned for its abundant coral reefs, making it an ideal spot for diving enthusiasts. Dive below 5 meters and be mesmerized by the captivating beauty of the coral. This island is carefully managed by the Marine Protected Area (MPA) of Nha Trang, ensuring its preservation.
While on the boat, enjoy a sumptuous seafood lunch and take the time to swim and relax in the crystal-clear waters. We aim to return to the city around 4:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to unwind and settle your hotel in Nha Trang City.
