A travel guide in Vietnam is usually the first thing that any first timer will search for. It’s no doubt that Vietnam is one of the all-time favorite countries for many travelers thanks to its diversity in landscapes, cuisine, culture and many other aspects. This post will provide you with great travel advice on how to have a wonderful time in Vietnam.

When is the best time to visit Vietnam?

Vietnam is characterized by a long and skinny land shape that is divided in three main regions: North, Centre and South. Each region has distinct weather conditions, which means that any time is the best time to visit Vietnam.

Vietnam is subject to a tropical monsoon climate. If you want to avoid as much rainfall as possible, you can travel to Northern Vietnam during spring and summer and the Southern part of the country December to April.

The differences in altitude also lead to weather variations in each region. While the North of Vietnam is cool in winter (there’s even snowfall in the mountainous areas), the South is favored with a warm and sunny climate all year round. Visiting the South and Centre of Vietnam during the rainy season will make it difficult, or even dangerous for you to go trekking or hiking as some areas can be exposed to intensive flooding.
