Today, we will embark on a journey to explore the famous Mausoleums of former Kings in Hue. Our experienced guide will lead us through the intriguing history and legacy of these magnificent structures.

Our first stop is the Khai Dinh Mausoleum, a place shrouded in mystery. Here, we can catch a glimpse of the opulent life led by King Khai Dinh, the 12th monarch of the Nguyen Dynasty. Unlike other tombs, this mausoleum stands out with its unique architectural blend of traditional Vietnamese elements and Western influences the 19th century. Metal gates, straight crucifixes, and an innovative light system replace the conventional use of wood, stone, and brick.

As we continue our journey, we will board a boat to visit the Minh Mang Mausoleum, an ancient tomb that has withstood the test of time. Constructed in 1843 after three years of meticulous work, this tomb serves as the final resting place for the second King of the Nguyen Dynasty. At the entrance, we will be greeted by three gates, with the magnificent Big Red Gate taking center stage. Inside the Honor Courtyard, stone statues of Mandarins, elephants, and horses stand guard, preserving the grandeur of the past.

Our exploration will lead us to the Mausoleum of Tu Duc, the fourth King of the Nguyen Dynasty, known for his lengthy reign. Nestled in a narrow valley, this tomb was built between 1864 and 1867 and covers an expansive area of 475 hectares. Inside, we will find around 50 monuments that boast a harmonious and graceful structure, reflecting the poetic spirit of King Tu Duc.

In the evening, we will embark on a relaxing ride along the Perfume River, taking in the breathtaking scenery. We will make a stop at a picturesque garden house, meticulously designed following the rules of geomancy, where we can absorb the tranquil ambience.

Today, we begin our journey with a departure to Quang Tri. Our first stop is the Demilitarized Zone, where we'll explore the historic Khe Sanh Military Base. This base played a significant role in the Vietnam War, and you'll have the opportunity to discover war remnants like bunkers, bombs, tanks, and aircraft.

Next, we'll visit the remarkable Quang Tri Museum. This architectural monument houses a vast collection of around 10,000 original exhibits, scientific documents, and valuable artifacts. Unlike many other museums, Quang Tri Museum combines traditional and modern display techniques, including an efficient audio system and an immersive projector room where you can watch a documentary film to gain a comprehensive understanding of the nation's history.

Afterwards, we'll transfer back to the hotel in Hue, where you can enjoy dinner on your own. Rest and relax overnight.

After having breakfast, we will transfer to the airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, we will be warmly welcomed and transferred to our hotel for check-in.

In the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece in Ho Chi Minh City. This magnificent monument was designed by Bourad, a French architect, and completed in 1880 after three years of construction. Every component of the cathedral was imported France. As we walk along the quiet walkway to the entrance, we will feel a deep sense of tranquility.

Later, we will return to the hotel. Dinner is at your own leisure. We will be spending the night at the hotel.

During this unforgettable excursion, we will explore the historic Cu Chi Tunnels, a sanctuary utilized by Vietnamese soldiers during the war. Prepare to be amazed as we venture through the fascinating traps, mysterious openings, and extensive underground bunkers. Experience the unique opportunity to handle real guns and bullets at the rifle range, and even crawl through the Cu Chi Tunnels to gain insight the harsh realities faced by the Vietcong guerrillas. This vast tunnel system, spanning approximately 250km, provided refuge for over 16,000 communist guerrillas.

Moreover, as you enjoy a peaceful moment sipping green tea and munching on tapioca, you will gain a deeper understanding of the former lives of the Vietcong fighters.
