The people of Bau Truc are considered as "rich people without money" because of their knowledge and skills in pottery. The women in the village are the ones who create the pottery, and their skills have been passed down generation to generation. Each piece of pottery made consists of about 20 different stages, including preparing the clay, shaping the pottery with the help of a lathe, and then sculpting the piece with precision. The craftsmanship of the people of Bau Truc is so refined that they can mould the clay anything they want. a tiny teacup to huge vases, they can mould it all.
