The monument is located in the heart of Saigon, at the intersection of Nguyen Dinh Chieu and Cach Mang Thang Tam streets. The statue depicts Thich Quang Duc seated in the lotus position, surrounded by eight pillars symbolizing the Noble Eightfold Path. The statue is made of bronze and stands at 6.3 meters tall, as a nod to the day he died. Visitors to the monument can pay their respects by lighting incense and offering flowers.
